Just received all the details on the AAT AGM and wondered how many members actually read all this and vote?

I don't vote - how can I if I don't know any of the candidates?0
-
You should vote if you can, all of the candidates should have a profile and election statement. This is your chance to shape who runs the AAT for you.0
-
I read through it last time, I'll do the same and probably vote this time, seeing as I'm taking a bit more interest in the politics of it all.0
-
I try to. It really does pay off - in Plymouth we have our Branch Chair on the AAT council which is great for feeding things back to the AAT.
One of the current candidates in this years pack is Vernon Anderson - he was chair of the Cornwall branch & did a great job of setting things up. A really motivated, friendly and positive person. If anyone has a vote going spare I can really recommend him!0 -
If I am able I am going to run next year!!!
Might be a bit of fun to see how far i can get!
I'm not expecting to win!0 -
I now realise why this thread was opened; found the AGM stuff on the doormat this morning!
Pete, I fancy running next year too. I was involved with a Working Party meeting last month and really quite enjoyed it and might be interested in getting more involved.
That said, I'm actually going to read the AGM stuff and vote!!0 -
Pete and Monsoon - give it a go, you never know how you will do - good luck!0
-
You know what I think i will (if i ever remember to do it)!
Monsoon if I don't run you have my vote all day long!0 -
Was typical I was planning on running this year just never got round to it!
I blame the other half for making me help her plan our wedding!!!
:-)0 -
That'd be great if a regular from here ran for it!0
-
Yes, that would be great - we could post all our questions about the voting on hear - yes go for it please.0
-
I think you'll find the odd (fairly) regular on here already has!0
-
Never voted before, but I'm actually going to sit down and read the AGM stuff sent to me this year and vote0
-
no need - I think we might have already met at the working party!0
-

At least you answered the questions!

> How long is a piece of string?0 -
it depends on the length!0
-
Oh dear, this thread is getting a little silly now! Must be the sun!0
-
it can't be the sun, it's got quite cloudy here, maybe it os sun depravation!0
-
It's TEA deprivation!!!!!0
-
I think its sleep deprivation on my behalf!!!0

Voting
Reading this has made me decide to actually read the AGM pack and vote this year, not just put the stuff in a pile and then discard it without looking at it properly.
Thanks everyone0 -
Well done Lyn - I hope many others will follow - happy voting!0
-
I read it and voted over the weekend.
I feel all warm and fuzzy inside now, knowing I did the voting bit...
Or maybe not!
Anyways, I voted and I think it's important, but I also think it's hard to vote if you don't really know who the people are.0 -
I started this thread, but I still haven't read the paperwork - must get to that now that I have heard such positive comments from so many others.0
